What are some signs that you have apendicitis(I know I spelled it wrong).
My side has been hurting alot latly.
Please give me some advice
Answer:
The "classic" presentation for appendicitis is pain that starts in the middle of your stomach (bellybutton area) then migrates to the Right lower quadrant of your abdomen-just inside your hipbone. Usually, there will be nausea, fever, maybe diarrhea. The pain will usually just get worse and worse over a few days. If the pain is really bad and then gets "not so bad" but you feel all over worse you may have ruptured the appendix (which is as serious as it sounds). You did not say how long you had it nor how old you are. Appendicitis can present in many different variations of the above symptoms and range from mild to severe. Does it hurt if you jump up and down or if you draw your knee up to your chest then rotate it out? Does the pain change when you eat or have a bowel movement? Does it hurt to pee? could you be pregnant? (sorry this is pretty personal for the "web" but it is all things you will be asked). If you are having mild symptoms-wait and see your doctor tomorrow if you have bad Righ lower abdominal pain with fever, nausea, or diarrhea then I would consider going to the ER. They will do some tests-check your white blood count, check for other things like a bladder infection, or gallbladder problems maybe even an ultrasound or CT of your belly. If this has been going on for several days or even weeks then I would just get in with your doctor.
---%26gt;ok so here's my addendum--it sounds like something called middleschmertz pain (and I'm not even sure I'm spelling it correctly) Each month when you ovulate, your ovaries turn loose an egg-the cyst that the egg is enclosed in has to rupture that can cause pain in some women-also, then there is a small collection of fluid in the pelvis which can be irritating-also causing pain. I would bet you are not having appendicitis right now. As long as it comes and goes and does not seem to get worse over time-mention it to your doctor (or your mom) just to be sure -- NO ONE can diagnose these things over the internet! hope this helped
severe lower right quadrant pain.
temperature.
sometimes nausea.
lower right side pain can also be from ovarian problems..like a cyst on the ovary.
you really should get to an emergency room.
to be screened for appendicitis.
this could be very very serious.
you will not get the medical help you need on ByeDr.com.
The pain is usually accompanied by a low fever, and the area should be tender to the touch. Regardless, if you are really concerned you need to consult a health prfessional, appendicitis is common but can be deadly if not taken care of right away.
