Any recommendations? Please I have a common allergy issue?

Is there anything someone can recommend to stop morning sneezes and stuffy nose from allergies? I currently take allegra once a day but by the time morning comes I'm constantly sneezing with a stuffed nose and even right now my throat still itches...Im not soo bad that I need any type of allergy injections but the medicine always wears off.
Besides cleaning my room(since Im allergic to dust) what other ways are there to prevent morning discomfort??
Answer:
You have all of the signs of dust mite allergies. Did you know that dust mites and their waste are the single largest known trigger of allergies worldwide? The best defense in helping yourself avoid the allergic triggers in your home and specifically your bedroom is to develop an avoidance strategy. Dust mites do not drink water from their mouth, the absorb it through their shell or outerlayer from the airborne moisture in your home, you should de-humidify your bed room to a 40% relative humidity which will prevent new mites from multiplying. Chances are your bed is already infested, you need to encase your mattress and pillows with an allergy bedding product that has a pore size of less than 1 micron. Make sure that you are not vacuuming your own bed room, if you have to wear a dust mask available in any hardware store, this will avoid getting the allergic triggers airborne and into you respiratory system. Wash your bedding weekly with extremely hot water. Remove all carpets and cloth drapes from your bed room which can harbor dust mites and other allergic triggers. All of this information is available at www.cleanrest.com, take a look at the healthy sleep tips section on the site.Once you practice these effective avoidence strategies you should see immediate improvement in your morning hours. From there you may even be able to start to pull back on some of the rescue medication it sounds like you are using now.I noticed an answer that suggested you run your humidifier, this is exactly what you should not be doing, it will aid in the breeding of dust mites, they love humid environments!
Its a simple idea, dont come in contact with the known allergic triggers that make feel sick!Learn how to protect your sleep and you will wake rested and feel better.
turn down the ac.
run the humidifier. and chamomile tea helps me. if don't have humidifier the saline nasal spray is an option.
Talk to your doctor about trying another allergy medication or an allergist. I do allergy injections and they seem to help a lot I have been getting them for a year now, I still have to take a still and have a nasal spray but the shots have helped quite a bit.
Talk to your doctor/allergist about changing the time you take your medication. I know when I switched to taking it an hour or 2 before bed I woke up much better and I didn't have problems falling asleep. If that doesn't work see if you can take something over the counter like benedryl before bed. Also get an allegery pillow cover...it goes right on the pillow and you can still fit normal pillow cases ontop so it can match your sheets and be sure to wash pillow cases twice as often as sheets...before I got the special cover I did mine about once a week (or at least I changed them) it keeps the dust from your faceLike what was said before a humidifier works wonders and be sure in the summer that you use an AC instead of windows...otherwise you will get more dust from outside
