Anybody know anybody close to them who has seizures?

My little brother has a type childhood epilepsy and will probaly outgrow it but right now he always is worrying that he will have one, any tips on how to calm him down?
Answer:
My husband started having seizures at the age of 14...neurogolist said it was from childhood illnesses he had...the childhood illnesses made him have high temps and so when he went thru puberty the hormones get all bumfuzzdle.anyway.he is now the ripe old age of 49 and has been seizure free for 3 years.the main thing i would stress to you is not to be afraid to educate people on what to do for him.does he go to a neurologist..what meds does he take ...are they sure he isnt having allergic reactions to food..we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this year..i will tell you it has been tough on him...he has lost jobs and friends because of the seizures..you see people are fearful because they dont know how to help a person when they are seizing.thats why i said educate any friends, family, schools..my husbands parents hid his epelispey...it was hard then when he married me because i didnt care who knew and just wanted people to learn about the disease...i hope this has been helpful.please feel free to email me if you want
Most epileptics stress about having a seizure when they are out in a public place and because they stress about it, Guess what happens?, they have a seizure. So my advice to anyone who is epileptic and worries about this, is to stop and stop now as you'll only have a seizure. Just go with the flow of life and so what if you have a seizure when your out, I'm sure you'll be just fine if you do, as there will be some nice person to help you out. Cheers and good luck.
Ummm . Well i started having seizures last year. I have stoped having them for about 6 months. The way i dealt with it is to just keep doing everything i usually do. I just dont want to think about it. As soon as its over i just want to get back to whatever i was doing. I really just try not to think about it.
